    The Fieldhouse is New Zealand's only full time, year-round batting cages and training facility providing you with the ability to train and have fun indoors! We offer state of the art batting machines, a tiger turf training surface and a fully modular netting system allowing you the ability to choose the setup to best suit your needs. 

    The Fieldhouse has something for everyone: 

    • Off-season training to keep your eye in and your skills up. Don't put your bat away for the winter! Now you can keep your skills sharp so you can hit the ground running when your season starts up again.
    •  In-season training gives you all the extra hitting you need to perform at your best. We know team trainings can't always offer all the batting you need to be at your best. In just one half hour you'll hit over 150 balls, which is more than you can get in 6 team trainings and we can cater for all ages and skill levels.
    • Fun for you and the family. Bring the kids or bring a date! The Fieldhouse is a great place to have some fun or just have some good friendly competition in the cages.

      The Fieldhouse Batting Cages offer training and fun solutions for softball, baseball and cricket. We understand that team trainings cannot always address the needs of every individual and offer the batting needed to be at your best. 

      Each of The Fieldhouse’s three full length moveable batting cages are 4.5m (15') wide, 23m (75') long and 4.5m ( 15’) high, and utilize both Iron Mike and Jugs® professional pitching machines, capable of delivering speeds from 45-150 kph (30-95mph ) to suit various age groups and training preferences. 

      The Fieldhouse has qualified instructors in the areas of hitting, pitching, and fielding. Please inquire at The Fieldhouse office for more information or to book an instructor for your upcoming session. 

      Hold your next party or special event at The Fieldhouse! We can accomodate parties for all ages as well as corporate and team building events and more! The Fieldhouse can help put together a venue to suit all your needs.

      Monday - Thursday : 2:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. 
      Friday : 1:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. 
      Saturday & Sunday : 11:00 am - 4:00 pm

      To book a session or appointment outside of these hours, please call The Fieldhouse office. 

      Please note that any cancellations must be made 12 hours in advance. Any session cancellations made within that time frame may be charged in full. 

      The Fieldhouse also offers extended hours during School Holidays and some Public Holidays. Please check for updates on our website or phone The Fieldhouse office during these periods. 

      BOOKINGS are essential. While we do offer a walk in service to the batting cages, it is on a first come, first served basis and is based on bookings and availability only. It’s worth the call to book in advance!

    • Rules

      Rules 

      Please read and follow all of the following: 

      - Helmets, shirts and appropriate shoes must be worn at ALL TIMES in the cages - NO CLEATS 
      - Anyone under 14 years of age must be under adult supervision at all times in the cages 
      - Only one person in each cage at any one time 
      - Swing bats ONLY inside cages 
      - DO NOT stand on Home Plate 
      - No switch hitting during a round 
      - No person assumed under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be permitted in the facility 
      - Be courteous to fellow participants and have fun! 

      Failure to comply with all safety rules will result in the immediate termination of session.
